My Fertility Story
My Journey to Conceiving...
I always dreamed of becoming a mother, but the journey to get there was nothing like I imagined. My partner and I tried for two years, both of us actively exploring our fertility — tracking cycles and doing all the tests. Along the way, we discovered challenges on both sides: he had poor sperm quality, and I was diagnosed with PCOS. Suddenly, it felt complicated, and the hope started to disappear.

We first sought answers in 2020, but it wasn’t until during lockdown that we were referred for IVF. The first two cycles were through the NHS. While we often felt unsupported and left with unanswered questions, we were still deeply grateful for the care we received — IVF is expensive, and having the opportunity to try a cycle for free was something we didn’t take for granted. That said, the experience really highlighted the postcode lottery of IVF — where access and support can vary so widely depending on where you live.

Our IVF journey was a rollercoaster. The first NHS cycle was abandoned because my follicles didn’t grow — a medication issue we hadn’t anticipated. The second brought hope: 19 eggs collected and 14 fertilised, however, only 2 made it to blastocyst. We had one embryo transferred — but it wasn’t successful. Heartbroken, we paused to get married and gather strength before seeking private care for a more personalised experience.

Even then, it wasn’t easy. Another cycle was abandoned due to follicles not growing again, leaving me exhausted and questioning if we’d ever succeed. But on our fourth attempt, everything finally aligned: 10 eggs, 6 fertilised, 2 blastocysts transferred — and those two little embryos became our beautiful boy/girl twins. Holding them for the first time was indescribable — a mix of awe, relief, and gratitude after six years of uncertainty.

Going through IVF and navigating my own fertility challenges made me realise how little support there is for women, especially around nutrition and lifestyle. That’s when I took my nutrition expertise and combined it with deep research into women’s health and fertility, adapting evidence-based strategies specifically for the TTC journey.

Everything I offer in the Nourish to Conceive™ method comes from this blend of lived experience and professional knowledge — designed to help women feel physically, hormonally, and emotionally supported. Fertility is more than a medical process; it’s deeply personal, exhausting, and often isolating.

I created the Nourish to Conceive™ method because no woman should feel unseen or unsupported. I want every woman to feel guided, held, and nourished — because I’ve been the woman who lost hope, and I’ve also been the woman who found it.
